Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure AI Solutions Architect/Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and implementation of enterprise Generative AI and intelligent document solutions within a complex federal application environment.

The role combines hands-on design with strategic leadership, leveraging Azure AI services, Foundry, and document intelligence to deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities across core enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with 12+ years of experience.
• Clearance Level: Public Trust
• 8+ years designing, developing, and implementing enterprise software/cloud/data solutions.
• 3+ years hands-on AI/ML solution design/implementation.
• 2+ years Generative AI/LLM/RAG experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise Generative AI solutions on Azure.
• Design and implement using Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Document Intelligence.
• Develop RAG solutions over structured and unstructured data.
• Build AI-assisted enterprise search, QA, summarization, and information extraction.
• Ensure secure REST API and SDK integrations with enterprise apps.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to existing engineering teams.
