Job summary

iManage is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead a high-performing team building and evolving a cloud-scale document management platform for legal industry clients.

You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, drive AI-native development, and collaborate with a broad ecosystem of technology partners. This role requires shaping best practices, mentoring engineers, and delivering impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software or services at scale.
• 3+ years leading a team of engineers in a hands-on technical manager role.
• Expertise in backend systems and distributed architecture.
• Experience architecting or operating a cloud-scale SaaS platform in a regulated or high-trust domain.
• Hands-on practice with AI-native development and ability to teach that practice to your team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering team of 4–5 engineers.
• Drive the engineering architecture for a cloud-scale SaaS platform.
• Interacting with iManage's ecosystem of 250+ technology partners.
• Co-build AI-enabled solutions with partners and drive adoption of best practices.
• Own technical decisions balancing cost, quality, performance, and team readiness.
• Hands-on involvement in architecture reviews, design docs, and complex problems.
• Mentor engineers and foster growth across the team.
