Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager I to lead the Security Engineering team and own the secure design, testing, and deployment of enterprise systems. The role involves risk assessments, incident response, and forensics, with collaboration across IT and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, solid cybersecurity knowledge, and experience with RMF/NIST frameworks, AIML security awareness, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in a related area; 11 years if no degree.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and networks.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows, large-scale servers, virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Security Engineering team.
• Set priorities and resources per security roadmap milestones.
• Own technical standards for secure design, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with Enterprise Security Architect to translate strategy to plans.
• Oversee secure-by-design reviews across infra, network, and apps.
• Direct evaluation and lifecycle management of security tools.
