Job summary

Scott Equipment Co in New Prague, MN seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Bin Panel team. You will coordinate design and project management, collaborating with designers, drafters and production to deliver innovative equipment solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, top-tier time management and a proactive, coachable mindset to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus five years related experience or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to use CAE/CAD systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Advises and assists Bin Panel Engineering in design and project management.
• Reviews incoming project files, sales quotations and assigns tasks to team members; verifies specifications with salesperson.
• Develops overall drawings for customer review and approval.
• Reviews prints prior to submission to customer and release to shop.
• Assists in setting department goals and sees they are executed.
• Develops and implements policies, standards and procedures for the department.
• Provides guidance, training and direction to team members in Engineering.
• Addresses complaints and resolves conflicts within the department.
• Keeps design charts, forms and manuals updated with changes.
• Plans accessibility to standard drawings and components.
• Monitors workload and time off within the department.
• Presents ideas for new products and improvements to the product line.
• Supports sales with quotes and drawings.
• Keeps abreast of innovations and new products in the field.
• Represents the company professionally to customers at all times.
• Responds to equipment problems with engineers to ensure proper operation.
• Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
