Job summary

Thomson Reuters Westlaw Engineering in Frisco, TX seeks a Director to lead a global team of engineering managers, senior engineers, and vendor partners. You will own the multi-year AI engineering strategy and align it with the product roadmap.

You will drive AI-assisted development, set reliability and security standards, and coordinate with Product, UX, and Technology teams to deliver high-impact legal research capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent.
10+ years in software development with 3+ years leading AI solution development.
Experience managing managers and high-performing teams in agile environments.
Proven ability to turn vision into programs, roadmaps, and measurable results.
Track record shipping AI in production and working with AI toolchains.

Responsibilities

Lead a global organization of engineering managers and engineers.
Own AI engineering strategy aligned to the product roadmap.
Drive AI-assisted, agent-driven development and data-informed decisions.
Manage vendor relationships and governance with clear metrics.
Deliver end-to-end AI lifecycle from retrieval to deployment and monitoring.
