Job summary

Semgrep is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Workflows team, blending code security scanning with AI-enabled features. You will coach engineers, guide product and engineering leadership, and contribute technically when appropriate.

You will shape quarterly roadmaps, set goals for short-term and long-term success, and help engineers grow into senior leadership roles. This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the San Francisco office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Familiarity with agile development principles and iterative milestone development.
• Strong desire to help engineers and leaders grow through coaching and mentorship.
• Ideally, expertise in two of: Public SDK/API design, Data workflow orchestration, Applying AI to cybersecurity problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-5 engineers and contribute technically when needed.
• Shape the team’s strategic direction and quarterly roadmap with product and engineering leadership.
• Coach a senior engineer to grow into leadership and mentor others on difficult projects.
• Drive feature delivery and technical excellence in the Workflows system.
