Job summary

Semgrep is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Semgrep Guardian to lead the platform team, embedding security analysis into the software development loop. You’ll shape the integration, orchestration, and distribution that turn security findings into a low-latency verdict usable by agents and IDEs.

Your scope includes agent-harness hooks, partner SDKs, MCP server, IDE extensions, and the risk API. Success is adoption across Semgrep products and partners, with a culture of transparency and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong foundation in product development with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with agile development principles and iterative milestones.
• Desire to coach and mentor engineers and leaders.
• Experience with developer tooling, IDE/editor extensions, or AI/MCP/protocol integrations.

Responsibilities

• Work with product and design to define a platform roadmap balancing iteration and big bets.
• Direct and prioritise team schedule across new technology, internal/external consumers, and quality.
• Coach engineers and leaders; provide regular feedback and performance reviews as needed.
• Foster an environment of trust, creativity, risk-taking, and accountability.
• Grow the team through hiring diverse, high-level technical talent.
