Job summary

AWS ADC Analytics is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering analytics services in air-gapped cloud environments. You will drive architecture, operations, and customer outcomes for large-scale distributed systems and automation across partitions and regions.

You will partner with government customers, manage delivery, performance metrics, and cross-functional alignment while upholding AWS security and reliability standards. TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) is required.
• Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or web services.
• Experience in managing large scale infrastructure and automation.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Hire, motivate, mentor and develop a team of engineers, promoting growth and opportunity.
• Define the structure and strategy for the team determining the right mix of engineers and where they need to be allocated to meet the business goals.
• Establish a roadmap and successfully deliver engineering solutions that execute that vision.
• Provide your team with the necessary support to take responsibility for team systems end-to-end (design, code quality, system health).
• Develop senior engineers promoting growth and opportunities to demonstrate higher level role scope, impact, complexity, and leadership.
• Work cross functionally to foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
• Be an operational leader: Take a data driven approach consistently utilizing metrics to measure performance gaps and increase productivity by improving processes at the local level while driving improvements on the global scale.
