Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee hotel maintenance, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will ensure upkeep aligns with WL and brand standards and drive guest satisfaction and financial performance for the department.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot defects, and lead safety-focused maintenance efforts, with responsibilities expanding as directed by the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain a positive attitude and focus on doing things right.
• Progressive experience in hospitality engineering or facilities management.
• Strong emphasis on safety and customer service.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hotel maintenance and protection, guest and associate satisfaction, and department financial performance.
• Ensure maintenance standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Follow procedures for repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation safely and neatly.
• Read and use blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Maintain inventories and procedures in coordination with risk management.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• The Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and assists with hotel maintenance and protection, guest and associate satisfaction, as well as the financial performance of the department.

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take necessary corrective action, and record same following specific departmental procedures
• Possess the ability to read and use blueprints, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications
• Responsible for maintaining key inventories and procedures in coordination with risk management
• Additional responsibilities as determined by the Director of Engineering

• Strong technical experience between schooling and equivalent work experience; previous leadership experience preferred
• A focus on safety and customer service
• Progressive experience in hospitality engineering or facilities management required
