Job summary

Hyatt Regency Santa Clara is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support the maintenance department, coordinate preventive maintenance tasks, schedule third-party vendors, and handle clerical duties for the hotel operations.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering and includes responsibilities such as expense tracking, inventory control, contract administration, and cross-department communications with housekeeping, front office, and finance.

Qualifications

• Oversee and coordinate the guest room PM and air filter replacement program
• Organize and maintain inventory of supplies
• Coordinate and complete month end closing
• Organize and update checkbook
• Participate in Capital improvement projects
• Utilize Company procurement system (Birchstreet)
• Coordinate CMMS tasks for Asset Management Preventative Maintenance
• Coordinate billing
• Utilize the Work order Management System (Hotsos)
• Learn and understand some aspects of the SMS system
• Create and maintain monthly work orders for routine maintenance tasks
• Maintain and update building equipment lists, maintenance history, including supplementary materials such as service and parts manuals
• Participate in safety meetings and conduct monthly trainings
• Maintain and update the PM module within the work order management system
• Assist in day to day supervision of team

Responsibilities

• The Engineering Coordinator will be responsible primarily for assisting the maintenance department personnel, performing guest room maintenance inspections, scheduling 3rd party vendors, dispatching calls, and handling office/clerical work.
• This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering to provide support in the daily departmental execution of tasks to include, expense tracking, inventory control, contract administration, and maintaining communication to all departments of the hotel, especially housekeeping, the front office and finance.
