Job summary

Perdue Foods is launching the Engineering Management Trainee Pathways Program in June 2027 in Concord, NC. The 24-month leadership development journey combines hands-on learning, structured rotations, mentorship, and formal leadership training to prepare the next generation of engineering leaders.

You will gain real-world experience in plant operations, project management, and capital project execution, with clear paths into engineering leadership roles upon progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university completed within 24 months of program start date.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in engineering, project engineering, or project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and relocate/travel to Perdue facilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured rotations across key operational, support, and engineering areas to build an end-to-end understanding of plant operations and engineering work processes.
• Learn safety, food safety, quality, environmental compliance, and operational requirements while working with experienced engineers and leaders.
• Develop project management, capital project execution, and engineering documentation skills through hands-on learning.
• Support daily engineering and operational activities, attend meetings, and contribute to projects focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Progress through EMT I and EMT II stages, with mentorship, leadership development sessions, and cohort activities.
