NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks an Engineer-In-Charge to lead the Design Unit-Section 4 – Consultant Design - Group 2. The role reports to the Deputy Director and will supervise 4–6 engineers and technicians, coordinating with interagency and private utilities on capital roadway, sewer, and water main projects.

The incumbent will review contract plans, prepare CPM schedules, manage consultant contracts, and provide construction support while assisting in task orders and contract

Formación

• Four years of full-time civil engineering experience.
• New York State Professional Engineer license.
• Master's degree in civil engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience as a major contributor or project leader on a complex project within the last three years.

Responsabilidades

• Design capital roadway, sewer, and water main projects.
• Supervise a staff of 4–6 engineers and technicians.
• Oversee design of ancillary work and coordinate with interagency and private utilities.
• Review and produce final contract plans, estimates, and specifications; review consultant drawings and manage contracts.
• Prepare and review CPM schedules; provide construction support as needed.
• Assist Director and Deputy Director in consultant task orders and contract requirements.
