Job summary

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Civil Engineer 2 for IHD’s Civil Section, Lefrak Office, Queens. You will design and deliver critical water infrastructure projects, provide site-civil engineering expertise, and support construction phases with QA/QC, drawings, and calculations.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years civil experience, NY PE license, AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Four years of civil engineering experience minimum; NY PE license required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; BIM/CADD experience preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to review technical drawings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and engineering documents for water tunnels and wastewater systems.
• Review shop drawings, material approvals, and RFIs; assist with change orders.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate with engineers and stakeholders.
• Travel to job sites for investigations and meetings; sign/seal construction documents.
