Job summary

Okta is seeking an Engineering Manager (Governance Intelligence) to lead a team building AI-native governance features for government customers. You will own backend and frontend development, drive architecture decisions, and ensure security and scalability across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

You will guide ML-focused work, implement evals, and partner with Product to align outcomes with customer needs while maturing CI/CD, observability, and documentation across the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 3+ in a management role shipping enterprise cloud software.
• Hands-on code experience in Java, Python, or TypeScript and API design.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and a major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML experts and engineers to deliver key intelligence features for the OIG product.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and frontend interfaces.
• Define scalable backend architectures and integration of complex APIs.
