Okta Identity Governance is seeking an Engineering Manager (Governance Intelligence) to adapt the OIG product for government customers. You will design and maintain backend services and frontend interfaces, emphasising AI-native engineering, security, and scalable access control.

You will guide ML experts, own the AI lifecycle, and coordinate with Product/Design to deliver customer-focused outcomes while improving CI/CD and observability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 3+ in a management role.
• Shipping enterprise cloud software experience.
• Hands-on with Java, Python, or TypeScript and modern APIs.
• Ability to apply AI across the full software lifecycle and adopt new tooling.
• Experience defining scalable backend architectures and integrating APIs.

Responsabilités

• Lead ML engineers and other engineers to deliver governance intelligence features.
• Design and implement AI evaluation frameworks and quality gates.
• Own end-to-end AI product lifecycle from framing to deployment.
• Architect and deploy cloud and on-prem infrastructure with security baselines.
• Support operations in federal environments and ensure government standards.
• Address tech debt, CI/CD, observability, and documentation improvements.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to align outcomes with customers.
• Mentor reporting engineers and raise the team’s technical bar.
