Job summary

Okta seeks a visionary Senior Director, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) to scale a world‑class GRC Security organization. This builder’s role blends executive leadership with engineering-minded, AI-driven governance for a mature, security-first SaaS platform.

You will partner with executives and cross-functional teams to drive enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, and data governance, delivering continuous control monitoring and policy automation across complex product lines in a dynamic

Qualifications

Proven executive leadership in security GRC within SaaS/cloud environments.
Understanding of AI/ML governance challenges and regulatory landscapes.
Experience with enterprise cloud compliance programs (SOC, ISO, PCI, etc.).
Ability to translate complex risks into actionable business context for executives.
Experience building and mentoring high-performing GRC engineering teams.
Bachelor-level technical degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Drive AI-first transformation across GRC operations (automation, risk scoring, policy mapping).
Operationalize AI risk governance with data protection and model risk management.
Lead enterprise-wide cyber risk identification, prioritization, and remediation.
Maintain and expand global compliance posture across major frameworks (SOC, ISO, PCI etc.).
Govern policy lifecycle to reflect evolving priorities and threats.
Direct third-party and SaaS risk governance and vendor risk programs.
Oversee audits, customer assurances, and regulatory reviews with engineering-led remediation.
Collaborate with Product, Legal, Privacy, Infrastructure to align compliance with roadmaps.
