Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) invites motivated students to join a 2027 Internship or Co-op in our Oakland office. You will work alongside leading engineers, gaining hands-on experience in field investigations, drafting, and structural analysis.

The role offers exposure to construction monitoring, testing, and client deliverables, with potential travel and work from heights. This paid internship/co-op emphasizes learning, professional growth, and real-world problem solving.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Willing to travel and work from heights.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with construction monitoring, field investigations, condition assessments and site inspections.
• Analyze materials, support petrography staff, develop test protocols and analyze data.
• Collaborate with SGH engineers on reconnaissance of existing structures and field tests.
• Organize field data and assist with research to facilitate analysis and repair design.
• Perform analysis under licensed professionals using hand calculations and software.
• Assist with preparation of client deliverables including drawings, specs and reports.
• May travel and work from heights as part of field responsibilities.
