Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) invites current students to join a 2027 Summer Internship in our Los Angeles office, offering hands-on exposure to leading engineers. You will gain experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges alongside industry experts.

You will assist with monitoring, investigations, design assistance, and data organization while learning to prepare client deliverables. This internship emphasizes rigorous professional standards and safety in field work.

Qualifications

• Interest in civil/structural engineering field
• Maintain high grades in studies
• Strong communication abilities
• Enthusiasm for developing sophisticated engineering work products in a professional environment

Responsabilités

• Assist with construction monitoring, field investigations, condition assessments, and project drafting
• Conduct testing and analyze test data with supervision
• Collaborate with SGH engineers on reconnaissance of existing structures and field tests
• Organize field data and assist with research to support analysis and repair design
• Prepare client deliverables including construction documents and reports
• May travel and work from heights
