Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) invites current students to apply for a 2027 Summer internship in our New York City office. As an Intern you will work alongside SGH engineers on construction monitoring, investigations, testing, and design tasks to gain hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Students should have an interest in civil and/or structural engineering, materials science, architecture, and architectural engineering.
• Maintain high grades in their studies and seek hands-on learning in a consulting engineering environment.
• Enthusiastic about producing sophisticated engineering work with high professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction monitoring, field investigations, condition assessments, and project drafting.
• Analyze materials, support petrography, develop test protocols, and analyze test data.
• Collaborate with SGH engineers on reconnaissance of existing structures and field tests.
