Job summary

Crane Co. in Twinsburg, OH is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the manufacturing team onsite.

You will support daily operations and undertake independent projects to improve safety, efficiency and productivity through process improvement, documentation and continuous improvement. Candidates should be working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering with understanding of engineering fundamentals, strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and experience in problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop product and process knowledge to support manufacturing ops and CI initiatives.
• Assist in creating/revising travelers, routers, and work instructions for accuracy.
• Evaluate non-conforming materials and coordinate with quality/engineering.
• Collaborate with Product Line, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on CI.
• Participate in root cause analysis to resolve product/process failures.
• Collect and analyze production/quality data to identify trends.
• Support scrap reduction through process optimization and data-driven solves.
