Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company seeks an Engineering Intern to support manufacturing operations and engineering initiatives at the South Bend, Indiana facility. You will work with Process Engineers, Production, EHS, and Site Leadership to improve process documentation and drive productivity projects.

The internship offers a 12-week paid program from late May to mid-August, with mentorship and opportunities to showcase career development and future pathways within the company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• Typically rising junior or senior.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or drawing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects focused on process improvement and productivity within a manufacturing facility.
• Review, verify, and update P&IDs through field observations and AutoCAD revisions.
• Evaluate opportunities for productivity and cost-savings by analyzing data and project requirements.
• Review and update SOPs to ensure accuracy and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, EHS, and Site Leadership for project updates.
