Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a student intern in Simsbury, CT to collaborate with software engineers and gain hands-on DevOps exposure. You will learn coding standards, participate in Jira workflows, and contribute to real development tasks within a supportive team environment.

The role focuses on C++/Java fundamentals, DevOps familiarity (Jenkins, Docker, GitHub), and strong collaboration across SWE teams.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a related bachelor’s or master’s program.
• Familiarity with C++, Java, or other object‑oriented programming language.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, Github.
• Interest in DevOps Engineering and infrastructure work.
• Ability to collaborate with other SWE.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHO YOU ARE

• Interest in DevOps Engineering and infrastructure work
• Ability to collaborate with other SWEs

Hourly rates are as follows:

Sophomore:$23/hour

Junior: $24/hour

Senior: $27/hour

Master's: $27/hour

Interns are eligible for company-paid holidays and one scheduled paid volunteer day. Interns are not eligible for vacation benefits, 401(k), medical or dental coverage, scholarships, or tuition reimbursement.
