Job summary

Richardson is seeking an Engineering Intern at its Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility. The role focuses on drafting, component design, and layout updates using 2D AutoCAD, with collaboration across operations, maintenance and management.

The internship requires completion of at least six semesters of an accredited engineering bachelor’s program in relevant fields, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Training includes GMP and factory practices.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 6 semesters of an accredited Bachelor's Degree Program in Engineering.
• Experience with 2D AutoCAD preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT).

Responsibilities

• Drafting, equipment and part design, and implementation of designed components.
• Develop component dimensional drawings and update facility layout drawings.
• Create new component concept drawings using 2D AutoCAD.
• Prepare equipment documentation to improve fabrication resources.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and management to complete projects.
• Learn good manufacturing and food safety practices.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a n Engineering Intern at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsible for drafting, equipment and part design, and implementation of designed components.

Development of component dimensional drawings, updating facility layout drawings, and new component concept drawings using 2D AutoCAD software.

Equipment documentation to improve component fabrication resource.

Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and management personnel to successfully complete assigned projects.

Learn good manufacturing and food safety practices.

Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Must have experience with mS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)

Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Successful completion of at least 6 semesters of an accredited Bachelor's Degree Program in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Industrial Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 2D AutoCAD software
• Previous experience in an Engineering Internship role
