Job summary

Richardson International Limited, a global leader in agriculture and food processing, invites applications for an Engineering Intern at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility. You’ll assist with drafting, equipment and component design, and update layout drawings using 2D AutoCAD.

Work with operations, maintenance, and management to complete projects, learn good manufacturing and food safety practices, and develop documentation for component fabrication.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of at least 6 semesters of an accredited Bachelor’s Degree Program in Engineering.
• Preferred: experience with 2D AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities

• Development of component dimensional drawings and updated facility layout drawings using 2D AutoCAD.

As part of Richardson’s global agriculture and food business, our food and ingredients division plays a central role in connecting farm to table through our vertically integrated supply chain. As a leading pasta manufacturer, Richardson produces a wide range of high-quality dry pasta products for diverse markets and end uses. We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Intern at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsible for drafting, equipment and part design, and implementation of designed components. Development of component dimensional drawings, updating facility layout drawings, and new component concept drawings using 2D AutoCAD software. Equipment documentation to improve component fabrication resource. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and management personnel to successfully complete assigned projects. Learn good manufacturing and food safety practices. Other duties, as assigned Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have experience with mS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Successful completion of at least 6 semesters of an accredited Bachelor’s Degree Program in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Industrial Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with 2D AutoCAD software Previous experience in an Engineering Internship role
