Job summary

Richardson International Limited in Carrington, ND, is seeking an Electrician for our durum milling and pasta production facility. You will provide hands-on electrical support for process controls, investigate power system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and related equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or an associate degree in electrical/mechatronics) and 3+ years’ electrical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience or an associate degree in electrical/electromechanical/controls
• Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and motor control systems is preferred
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E and North Dakota electrical codes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical support for process controls and power systems
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot PLCs, motors, VFDs, and related equipment
• Assist with installation and commissioning of electrical equipment per NEC and ND codes

Job description

We currently have an opportunity for an Electrician at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on electrical support in the areas of process controls, resolving common power system electrical issues, and equipment downtime root cause analysis
• Complete regular preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment according to established schedules and procedures
• Use tools, meters, and technology to troubleshoot facility-specific PLC’s, motors, VFDs, and process/support equipment, in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and regulations
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment by running/connecting wires, construction panels/control boxes, and performing other tasks in accordance with the NEC, North Dakota Electrical Codes, and NFPA 70E
• Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience OR Associate’s Degree or higher in electrical, electro‑mechanical, mechatronics, instrumentation or controls in lieu of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and instrumentation
• Experience working with 480V systems

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Starting wage: $37/hr
