Job Description:
Required to have a high school degree and experience in the power industry.
Provides technical support to operating and engineering personnel by reviewing, inspecting, and conducting nondestructive testing activities to assure that structures, systems, equipment, components and/or activities meet specifications, codes, management expectations, and/or regulatory requirements.
Primary activities include performing and/or coordinating nondestructive testing; inspecting components, procedures, and documentation; identifying quality problems and recommending solutions.
Additional activities include gathering data on equipment/system conditions, maintaining records, writing reports, and conducting analyses of quality data, Travels to facilities as needed.
Develops and nurtures relationships with key technical counterparts, trade allies and customers.
Three years inspection/test job related experience/training.
Inspect parts, assemblies and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
Initiates non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications.
Assures that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Initiates corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature.
Completes, inspects and distributes all quality records and documents.
Perform specialized testing as required.
Knowledge of dimensional testing and manufacturing.
Sound product knowledge.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years related experience.
