Job summary

symplr seeks a Senior Director, Engineering FP&A to serve as the executive finance partner for the Technology/R&D organization. You will build the financial operating system for engineering investment, workforce planning, capitalization discipline, productivity, and technology cost structure.

Partner with CTO and leaders to translate strategy into actionable financial insights. You will own planning, forecasting, and performance management for Engineering/R&D, develop a robust workforce model,

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive finance experience in engineering/tech context.
Proven ability to partner with senior executives and translate complexity into financial insight.
Experience with FP&A processes including workforce planning and executive reviews.

Responsibilities

Act as FP&A business partner to Engineering/R&D leadership and translate priorities into financial plans.
Lead planning, forecasting, and performance management for Engineering/R&D.
Own capitalization and OpEx/CapEx discipline for cloud, tooling, and contractor spend.
Manage workforce model by team, location, and hiring status.
Develop governance and cadence for investment reviews and financial reporting.
