Job summary

Volvo Group North America, LLC (Greensboro, North Carolina) seeks a Business Controller to optimize engineering budgets and cost management across VEHICLES and prototyping. You will prepare CAPEX requests, manage capitalization, and ensure accurate RIG cost calculations while driving cost transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience as a business controller in engineering prototyping and testing.
• Experience with SAP Master Finance and SCORE for cost management.
• Proficiency in Power BI, VBA, and Python for data management and modeling.
• Ability to analyze CAPEX, capitalization, and RIG costs.

Responsibilities

• Optimize engineering budgets and cost categories.
• Prepare CAPEX and capitalization requests with planning, approval, and follow-up.
• Ensure transparency and accuracy of RIG cost calculations and purchased services.
• Develop and maintain engineering hourly rate models and chargeability concepts.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting during engineering development cycles.
