Job summary

Harbinger Motors is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting and forecasting for Engineering OpEx, CapEx, and headcount. This role partners with Engineering leadership to translate operations into financial impact and to highlight opportunities from the numbers.

The ideal candidate will deliver visibility, build relationships with technical leaders, and be self-motivated with a can-do attitude. California pay range is disclosed; strong Excel/ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Finance.
5+ years of relevant Finance experience. Preferably in Product Development, but not required.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Support the monthly rolling forecast for OpEx, CapEx and headcount with variance analysis by comparing actuals to budget and forecast.
Partner with leaders to understand operational performance and provide commentary for executive leadership reviews.
Assist in the annual budgeting process by partnering with cross-functional leaders to validate data and consolidate submissions.
Monitor KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.
Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering on tracking cost down initiatives related to OpEx and CapEx timing.
Work with Accounting and FP&A during month-end close for accruals and validation of actuals.
Continuously improve processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Perform ad hoc analysis to transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.
