Job summary

Bestow is seeking a Director of Engineering for Insurance Product Configuration & Enrollment Platform Core in the United States. You will lead a highly technical engineering organization, owning outcomes across multiple teams, and report to the VP of Engineering.

This role is open to Remote (US) with strong emphasis on distributed systems, scale, and carrier partner integrations. You will guide architectural decisions, drive performance and reliability, and mentor 20–30 engineers through 2–3

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering management experience, including managing managers.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate distributed systems and microservices at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision for Core teams and align with platform strategy.
• Lead cross-team initiatives and ensure quality across boundaries.
• Own interfaces between teams and resolve ownership ambiguity before incidents.
• Represent Bestow with partners, vendors, and in technical due diligence.
