PIC Wire & Cable, an Angelus Company, is seeking an Engineering Director to lead our engineering organization and advance aerospace interconnect innovations. Reporting to the President, you will blend technical vision with operational discipline to build a high-performing team and align efforts with business goals.

You will drive long-term strategy, nurture leadership, and champion cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in aerospace and defense interconnects.
• 4+ years of experience leading and developing engineering leaders.
• Experience driving engineering transformation and NPD initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, roadmaps, and new-product initiatives aligned with customer needs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Drive innovation and technical excellence across design, materials, and methods.
• Establish KPIs, manage budgets and resources, and drive continuous-improvement.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, customers, suppliers, and external resources to solve challenges.

PIC Wire & Cable, an Angelus Company, is a global provider of aerospace and defense wire, cable, and interconnect solutions. We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Engineering Director to lead our engineering organization, advance innovation, and help position Angelus as a leader in aerospace and defense interconnect solutions.

Reporting to the President, this leader will combine technical vision, operational discipline, and people leadership to build a high-performing engineering function.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, technology roadmaps, annual priorities, and new-product-development initiatives aligned with company and customer needs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
• Drive innovation and technical excellence by guiding technology, materials, design, and engineering methods that deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
• Establish KPIs, manage the engineering budget and resources, and champion continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen execution and efficiency.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, customers, suppliers, and external engineering resources to solve technical challenges and support business goals.

QualificationsWhat You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in aerospace and defense interconnects or a comparable regulated manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years of experience leading and developing engineering leaders and technical teams.
• Demonstrated success leading engineering transformation, innovation, New Product Development, and structured continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Strong technical, business, financial, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
