Job summary

PIC Wire & Cable, an Angelus Company, is seeking an Engineering Director to lead the engineering organization and drive innovation in aerospace interconnect solutions.

The role reports to the President and combines technical vision with people leadership to build a high-performing function. Required: a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 12+ years in engineering, plus 4+ years in leadership; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in aerospace/defense interconnects or regulated manufacturing.
• 4+ years of experience leading engineering leaders and technical teams.
• Experience leading engineering transformation, innovation, NPD, and CI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, roadmaps, priorities, and NPD initiatives aligned with needs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, coaching, and leadership development.
• Drive innovation and technical excellence across design, materials, and methods.
• Establish KPIs, manage budget/resources, and champion continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, and customers to solve challenges and support goals.
