CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering to guide multiple Scrum teams within the Commercial Plan Sponsor Domain. You will define project requirements, shape solutions, set timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery.

You will mentor staff, drive modernization, and lead AI-enabled initiatives across complex enterprise programs. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver new

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience in a matrixed environment.
• 5+ years leading diverse tech teams and programs.
• 3+ years supervising projects and direct reports.
• 3+ years in enterprise app architecture, API development, and microservices.
• 2+ years cloud platform experience (Azure, OpenShift, AWS, etc).
• 2+ years AI tech experience (Copilot/Claude).

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk assessment, resolve delivery issues, ensure timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Conduct performance evaluations and foster professional growth.
• Manage a subdomain of 2-3 scrum teams to deliver quality software.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align priorities and deliver enhancements.
• Investigate emerging technologies and integrate best practices.
• Lead subdomain teams using JIRA and other tools.
• Provide technical direction and help teams overcome challenges.
• Transform roadmaps to support Plan Sponsor domain modernization.
• Drive AI-enabled transformations and execution strategies.
• Promote AI adoption and best practices for delivery.
• Identify risks and drive cross-workstream resolution.
• Manage end-to-end program plans and reporting.
