Job summary

Stanford Engineering seeks a Building Manager to oversee the William F. Durand and Hugh H. Skilling buildings, supporting Aero/Astro and Materials Science and Engineering.

The role ensures facilities operations, safety, and accessibility while coordinating renovations and daily tasks for a large, interdisciplinary campus facility. You will work with a team of building managers, safety specialists, and project managers to maintain service levels across 10+ buildings, reporting to the Facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years related facilities management experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and hazardous waste handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as operations contact for complex facilities; initiate work requests, monitor completion, manage budgets, coordinate maintenance and renovations.
• Perform condition assessments; develop preventive maintenance plans; coordinate contracts and third-party vendors; implement process improvements.
• Handle property administration: tagging, data entry, inventory, purchasing orders and record keeping.
• Implement facility security programs: keys, access, cameras, alarms; monitor and adjust access schedules.
• Coordinate project tasks within department projects; act as liaison and oversee small local projects.
