Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation seeks an Engineering Assistant III to support project engineers on highway construction projects. You will enforce standards, perform materials testing, and provide design-phase administrative support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must achieve or maintain required certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory and field testing of soils and materials for CDOT projects.
• Oversee contractor work for compliance with contract documents and standards.
• Prepare design-phase and testing documentation, schedules, and pay quantities.
• Assist in ADA compliance, public information, and coordination with the public.
