Job summary

GDOT is seeking an entry-level professional to support state materials testing and related tasks within the district. Under supervision, you will supervise sampling and testing of materials, ensure field technicians meet project needs, and train staff on testing procedures.

Qualifications include a related degree or one year of experience, RTT and QCT-Level 1 certification, and ability to work with testing equipment and site reports.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising, training and coaching subordinates.
• RTT and QCT-Level 1 certification required.
• Knowledge of sampling and testing roadway and asphalt plant materials.
• Proficient using computers to analyze and communicate field data.
• Ability to perform math calculations for field tests.
• Experience calibrating and operating standard field testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sampling and testing of materials in district.
• Ensure field technicians meet testing and sampling needs on projects.
• Maintain knowledge of field testing procedures.
• Review field reports for accuracy before distribution.
• Train and evaluate technicians on testing and sampling.
