Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Engineering Aide to support engineers across projects by performing technical tasks, collecting data, and coordinating activities. You will help produce documentation and assist with analyses while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires an associate degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and strong analytical skills. MS Teams proficiency is preferred.

The Engineering Aide provides essential support to engineers in various projects by assisting with technical tasks, data collection, and project coordination. This role involves working closely with engineers to ensure smooth operations within the engineering department and facilitate the completion of engineering projects. The Engineering Aide is expected to perform a variety of administrative and technical duties to support engineering teams. Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a STEM field, or equivalent related work experience and/or technical training. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.
  • Ability to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities.
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of STEM principles: science, technology, engineering, and math principles
  • bility to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and present technical material to senior leadership

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $54200.00 - $100600.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
