Job description

Job Overview

Engineering Adjunct – part‑time faculty teaching Statics, Thermodynamics, or related engineering courses. Positions are open continuously and reviewed each quarter.

Responsibilities
  • Teach college‑level courses in accordance with the college catalog, schedule, course outlines, and syllabi.
  • Prepare lessons, assign and grade work, and maintain accurate and complete course and student records.
  • Develop and provide class syllabi to students and to the division office as requested.
  • Maintain clear and punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Teach evening instruction as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited College or University in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • College‑level teaching experience (desired).
  • Commitment to student‑centered learning, diversity, and data‑informed instruction.
  • Ability to use technology such as Learning Management Systems for instruction.
  • Understanding of accessibility and universal design; able to provide accommodations as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and rapport building.
  • Demonstrated ethics, integrity, and sound professional judgment.
Additional Information

Only U.S. citizens or authorized workers will be considered; no visa sponsorship. Official, unopened transcripts must be submitted to the Human Resources department within 30 days of employment. Salary is $1,000 per credit, determined by educational qualifications and credits. Benefits become accessible after two consecutive quarters of work and may include retirement plans, health insurance, a tuition waiver, and other associate benefits.
