Job summary

Caesars Entertainment in Reno is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of preventative and on-demand repairs across hotel and property spaces.

You will work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related systems, keeping records, and ensuring safety and compliance with hotel policies. Strong English communication and a minimum three years in building repair in hospitality preferred. The role requires mobility and the use of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

  • Read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to understand and comply with hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in general building repair, preferably in hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related systems.
  • Repair and replace fixtures, wallpaper, paint, and drywall as needed.
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and test results.
  • Conduct lamp replacement and hotel guest room repairs.
  • Assist with events and property operations as required.

Job Summary

Perform a combination of preventative maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, upholstery, painting and electrical maintenance throughout property.

How You Will Create the Extraordinary

Implements routine maintenance and urgent repair in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations

Closely monitors the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible

Keeps all records of maintenance and testing

Performs preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment

Lamp replacement

Responsible for repairing and/or replacing materials on game tables, chairs, stools and additional furniture throughout the property as needed

Repairs of wallpaper, paint and drywall

Fixture repair and replacement

Circuit breaker reset

Changes AC filters

Hotel Guest room repairs

Keeps daily logs

Supports events and casino

What You Will Need

Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff

Read, write, and communicate verbally in English

Ability to perform basic math

Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment

Previous experience in Engineering or Facilities in relation to general building maintenance

Minimum three years’ experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industry

  • High School diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires 90% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairs

Operating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklift, pallet jack

Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.

Use of hand and power tools

Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity

Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound

Requires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols

Requires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
