Job summary

Caesars Entertainment in Reno is seeking a maintenance technician to perform a wide range of facility upkeep across the property, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience within hospitality settings and the ability to follow safety regulations.

The candidate should have at least three years of general building repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and comply with hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Previous experience in engineering or facilities maintenance.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a general building repair technician, preferably in hospitality.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Summary

Perform a combination of preventative maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, upholstery, painting and electrical maintenance throughout the property.

Responsibilities
  • Implements routine maintenance and urgent repair in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Closely monitors the effects of servicing and maintenance on equipment wherever possible.
  • Keeps all records of maintenance and testing.
  • Performs preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
  • Lamp replacement.
  • Repairs and/or replaces materials on game tables, chairs, stools, and additional furniture throughout the property as needed.
  • Repairs wallpaper, paint, and drywall.
  • Fixture repair and replacement.
  • Circuit breaker reset.
  • Changes AC filters.
  • Hotel guest room repairs.
  • Keeps daily logs.
  • Supports events and casino operations.
  • Exemplifies core values, family‑style service, mission, vision, and DEI culture.
  • Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Previous experience in Engineering or Facilities related to general building maintenance.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as a general building repair technician, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
  • Requires 90% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6 ft., climbing using ladders and stairs.
  • Operating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklift, pallet jack.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, and lifting large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Use of hand and power tools.
  • Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound.
  • Requires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
  • Requires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio.
Performance Requirements
  • Must provide service excellence to internal and external guests, with excellent communication and observation skills.
  • Maintains an easy‑going demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for guests.
  • Exhibits above‑average reading and writing skills in English.
  • Requires schedule flexibility, including days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
