- • Performs site investigations of marine structures, bridges, and other infrastructure assets
- • Ensures that the scope of work is fulfilled as directed and that the contracted deliverable is submitted out on schedule and as budgeted
- • Data entry/manipulation and technical writing skills for the preparation and review of inspection reports, proposals, etc.
- • Analyzes deteriorated components of marine and bridge structures to assess load capacity
- • Prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates and supporting documentation
- • Works collaboratively with all members of the inspection team and of other engineering disciplines
- • Assists with civil and structural design
- • Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Structural coursework or focus is preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) required
- Certified Commercial Diver is required; ADCI, HSE, DCBC, IMCA, ADAS or completion of a US military equivalent diving school required
- Entry level to 4+ years of related diving and inspection experience required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Boater Safety Card preferred
- Availability and willingness to travel as required.
- Most work is local/regional and employee is able to return home most evenings.
- When travel outside of the Baltimore area is required, it is typically less than 2 weeks in duration
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Possess DBIDS card or eligibility to successfully pass background check to secure Department of Defense DBIDS card and other badges required by clients preferred
- Current First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration certification preferred
- Selected candidate must consent to and pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug screening
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
