Warren Cat is seeking a Technical Communicator II to provide technical assistance to internal and external customers. You will support technicians during repairs and collaborate with Caterpillar engineers to resolve issues.

The role requires reading and interpreting technical documents, strong communication, and travel up to 20% to customer sites in the region. Ongoing training and proficiency with Caterpillar systems are essential.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 5 years of related experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
Moderate computer skills and experience with databases.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

Assist technicians through the repair process to ensure timely, cost effective and quality repairs.
Coordinate with Caterpillar engineers to resolve product issues.
Answer technical requests to diagnose and resolve problems using expertise and data.
Document and report product issues and assist in root-cause analysis.
Travel to customer sites within the region for complex troubleshooting.
Attend training to stay current on new products and challenges.
