Job summary

Warren Cat is seeking an EPG Technical Communicator II to support internal and external customers with technical assistance. The role involves guiding technicians through repairs, coordinating with Caterpillar engineers, and diagnosing issues using product data and field experience.

The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent, and extensive generator, genset, and switchgear troubleshooting experience, plus travel up to 40% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or tech school, or 5 years related experience.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting Generators, Gensets, and Switchgear with natural gas and diesel engines.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Moderate computer skills and familiarity with databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians on assignments through the repair process to ensure timely, cost-effective repairs.
• Coordinate with Caterpillar engineers to resolve product issues.
• Answer technical inquiries to diagnose and solve product problems using expertise and data.
• Document and report product issues and assist in root cause analysis.
• Travel to customer sites within the assigned region for complex troubleshooting.
