Job summary

Kalitta Charters II seeks an experienced Engine Manager to oversee the technical, operational, compliance, and financial performance of the CFM56-3 engine fleet. You will monitor engine health, plan maintenance, coordinate shop visits, manage LLPs, and support parts forecasting to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

The role requires aviation maintenance expertise, strong judgment, and proactive leadership to enhance fleet availability and performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with CFM56-3 or similar turbofan engines.
• Strong knowledge of engine performance analysis, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning.
• Experience coordinating engine shop visits, vendor communication, teardown reviews, and return-to-service planning.
• Experience with life-limited parts tracking, cycle forecasting, and engine records management.
• Familiarity with FAA requirements, including Part 121 and/or Part 145 environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Engine health monitoring and performance trend analysis.
• Fleet management including allocation, rotation, and removal strategies.
• Engine shop visit management with scope definition and vendor coordination.
• Life-limited parts tracking and forecast planning.
• Materials management including parts forecasting and procurement liaison.
• Ensure FAA compliance and maintain documentation.
• Prepare reports and budget updates for leadership.
