Job summary

Kalitta Charters II is seeking an experienced Engine Manager to oversee the technical, operational, compliance, and financial performance of the CFM56-3 engine fleet. You will monitor engine health, analyze performance, and plan maintenance to improve reliability and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities include directing shop visits, managing life-limited parts, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring FAA compliance. Strong aviation maintenance expertise and proactive leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience working with CFM56-3 or comparable turbofan engines.
• Strong understanding of engine performance analysis, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning principles.
• Experience coordinating engine shop visits, vendor communication, teardown reviews, and return-to-service planning.
• Experience with life-limited parts tracking, cycle forecasting, and engine records management.
• Working knowledge of FAA requirements, including Part 121 and/or Part 145 maintenance environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Engine Health Monitoring and Performance: Monitor trends, evaluate data, and identify abnormal conditions; coordinate corrective actions.
• Fleet Management: Maintain engine status, margins, records; optimize allocation and lifecycle value.
• Engine Shop Visit Management: Define scoping, manage vendors, teardown reviews, and return-to-service planning.
• Life-Limited Parts Management: Track LLP cycles, forecast replacements, optimize utilization.
• Materials and Asset Management: Source, price, repair, and forecast spare parts; budget planning.
• Compliance and Documentation: Maintain FAA-compliant records and prepare performance reports.
