Job summary

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is hiring a Program Aide to support our school-age programs. Under direct supervision, you will help create a safe, engaging environment with games, arts and crafts, and group activities while upholding our core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Shifts are mornings 615am-830am and/or 300-600pm, M-F, with more hours possible on full-day camps. A positive attitude, teamwork, and strong‑communication with youth and families are essential; bilingual

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
• Ability to work well on a team and communicate with youth, parents and colleagues.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate practices and experience with children, preferably school-aged.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including medical, disciplinary situations and emergencies.
• Maintains positive relations with parents and staff; models relationship-building.
• Maintains confidentiality of YMCA issues, incidents and records.
• Be on time for shifts and flexible to schedule changes, including full days.
• Other duties as assigned
