Job summary

Communities in Schools of Southeast Harris and Brazoria County Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic coordinator to support the after-school academic preparation program.

The role focuses on creating a positive learning environment for children, families, and staff while implementing the school-day curriculum within established guidelines. You will supervise activities, collect daily attendance data, maintain site safety, and participate in family nights and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months experience with children preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications will be provided and required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program lessons/activities.
• Experience with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provides a positive learning environment for children, parents, and staff.
• Implements aligned school day curriculum within established guidelines.
• Supervises the children, classroom, and activities.
• Maintains program site and equipment.
• Collects data for daily reports and maintains attendance/program records.
• Attends family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
• Meets timelines and deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance.
• Role model to both children and staff.
• Responsible for the safety and risk management of all students.
