Job summary

Parkfield House Nursing Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities for residents, promoting wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will tailor a varied programme to individual interests and care needs, building strong relationships with residents, including those living with dementia. Training and support are provided to help you develop in the role.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build relationships to understand preferences and promote inclusive participation (including for dementia).
• Contribute to a positive, stimulating environment where residents feel valued and engaged.
