Job summary

J Street is seeking an Engagement Assistant for Mid-Atlantic and Florida to join a seven-person fundraising and advocacy team in New York City. The role focuses on data management, stakeholder engagement, and event support, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office).

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to help grow regional outreach. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient with CRMs, Excel, and Google Drive, and able to collaborate across locations

Qualifications

• Exceptional organization and attention to detail with multiple priorities.
• Strong data and technology fluency; able to learn new CRM quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; engage with leaders and donors.
• Cooperative, positive team mindset across locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve team processes across fundraising, advocacy, political outreach, and chapter engagement.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date regional data in CRMs.
• Develop, refine, and update reports in CRMs and Google Sheets for fundraising and outreach.
• "Manage up" around deadlines, data entry, organization, and event planning.
• Research and evaluate new donor prospects of $1,800+.
• Communicate with J Street supporters around events and provide necessary information.
• Support and execute high-impact events and initiatives with logistics and follow-through.
• Prepare briefing materials for VIP meetings, staff visits, and events.
