Job summary

The Jewish Grad Organization (JGO) seeks a Regional Engagement Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic to build relationships across 30+ graduate campuses from Washington, DC to New Jersey and Philadelphia.

This full-time, hybrid role emphasizes mentoring student leaders, designing campus engagement programs, and collaborating with national staff, with travel to campuses and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of professional experience.
• Experience in engagement, event coordination, campus work, or Jewish communal organizations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort initiating conversations with new people.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple campuses, priorities, and travel schedules.
• Willingness for frequent travel and living near a major airport; flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Engagement Coordinator for approximately 30 campuses in the Midatlantic region.
• Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with Jewish graduate students through coffee chats, campus visits, virtual meetings, and follow-up.
• Develop campus-specific engagement strategies that respond to local culture and campus dynamics.
• Recruit and engage students in flagship programs and initiatives (JEWL, Fellowships, JELCON, etc.).
• Design and execute high-quality programs and events on- and off-campus.
• Plan and manage event logistics across multiple cities and campuses.
• Travel regularly along the coast to strengthen relationships and support students in person.
• Collaborate with regional coordinators and national staff to share insights and best practices.
• Support outreach and marketing efforts, including targeted emails and light social media engagement.
